Breeders may cause suffering, says inquiry

Database loophole in conviction cases

THE WORKINGS of the Animal Welfare Act were called in to question when it was revealed that there is not a database of people who have received post conviction orders from the courts.
This means that there is no way of knowing if people have been banned from keeping animals.

RSPCA calls for end to BSL

THE RSPCA is calling for the end to Breed Specific Legislation (BSL) following the news that nearly 5,000 dogs have been seized from owners in England and Wales in the past three years.
It is believed that the animal welfare charity want new laws that ban dogs based on their behaviour rather than the breed. Currently banned under the Dangerous Dogs act are the Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino and the Fila Braziliero.

Miracle booked published

A BOOK about Miracle, the 2015 winner of the Eukanuba Friends For Life competition, is launched this week (Thursday 21st April) and focuses on the heart-breaking and inspiring story of Miracle, the dog that refused to die.
The book focuses on the tear-jerking, inspirational and incredible tale of Miracle, a crossbreed that was snatched from the streets of Thailand, loaded onto a truck with hundreds of stolen dogs and destined for the restaurants of Hanoi.

Eukanuba All Breeds Puppy Start

Weaning represents a very vulnerable time for puppies as many changes are taking place in their development. Their acquired immunity from the mother is waning and they are yet to be vaccinated by the vet, so they need to be in peak health throughout this period. Eukanuba Puppy Start can help with a smooth transition to solid foods.

• Highly digestible ingredients and a natural fibre blend, including beet pulp, MOS and the prebiotics FOS to help support the natural balance of the intestinal microflora and to help optimise nutrient absorption.

• Excellent acceptance by puppies.

• No. 1 ingredient is chicken.

• Optimal ratio of Omega 6-Omega 3 for a healthy skin and radiant coat

• Gentle on the digestive system and promotes optimal nutrient absorption to reduce the risk of digestive upsets.

• No colourants or preservatives added
