N A V S appoints new head of PR

THE NATIONAL Anti-Vivisection Society (NAVS) has appointed Caroline Chisholm as the organisation’s new Head of PR.

Caroline will also lead the PR department of NAVS sister organisation, the Animal Defenders International (ADI).

Caroline has previously worked for the National Osteoporosis Society, the Northern Ireland Film Council and as a freelance writer. Caroline will be working on a number of issues including lobbying to end the secrecy surrounding animal research and campaigning for a ban on animal acts in circuses.

Founded in 1875, the NAVS campaigns through public education, political lobbying and publicity campaigns. The Society also supports non-animal research through the Lord Dowding Fund, which has awarded grants totalling more than £2 million since 1973. The ADI was established in 1990 and campaigns on major issues such as animals in circuses, worldwide traffic in endangered species, vegetarian/vegan diet, factory farming and pollution.
