Richmond talks ‘dogs’ once again


Richmond Dog talks are to be held on November 24th at Ascot Racecourse. The theme this year will be ‘Back to the Beginning from Wolf to Modern Dog’

The planned programme is as follows:-

10am - Roger Palmer a director of the UK Wolf Trust. He will be bringing two of his wolves which have been appearing recently on the BBCs ‘Monarch of the Glen’. He will be talking about his breeding project and experiences rearing and working with wolves.

11am - Kirsty Peake an animal behaviourist, who has studied wolves in the wild, will be taking us through the behavioural evolution of the wolf through to the present day dog.

There will be plenty of time for questions then a break for a buffet lunch.

2pm - How a championship show is set up and run. Nick Bryce-Smith aided by Adrian Perry Coxall and Jock Mackay.
